Ìyá ìlù dùndún (with saworo idẹ brass bells )

Ìyá ìlù is the master drum and the lead speaker of the gángan family. It is the most important instrument because, beyond the rhythm, it speaks the language and directs the entire musical conversation. It has the widest pitch range, which allows it to clearly mimic the high, mid, and low tones of the Yorùbá language, making its messages understandable.
