Description
Àtúnbí is a meeting point of worlds. Crafted from multicolored aṣọ òkè, one leg bears loosened patchwork inspired by the Ancestor pants, while the other is neatly joined, echoing the refinement of the Alaṣọ Ire pants. This deliberate contrast symbolizes rebirth: the fusion of the spiritual and the physical, Ọ̀run and Ayé. In Yoruba thought, an Àtúnbí is a reincarnated soul: one who carries ancestral memory while walking fully in the present world. This piece embodies that dual existence, rooted in the unseen, expressed in form.
